Thriving Horses: Sustainable Horse Grazing Workshop

Do you have horses or ponies? The City of Greater Bendigo, the Nature Network and Axe Creek Landcare invite you to come along to this free workshop to learn more about practical grazing management strategies that maximise equine health, and pasture growth.

The workshop will be presented by Declan McDonald, principal soil scientist at Regen Soils. The session will assist horse owners and land managers to learn how to optimise pasture production, with a view to minimising hand feeding and avoiding land degradation. Attendees will learn about practical strategies to support sustainable grazing on an equine property in Bendigo, and visit a horse property in the afternoon to discuss our learnings. Attendees are welcome to bring soil or pasture test results to be discussed and interpreted by Declan. 

This is an outdoor event for part of the day, so please use appropriate clothing and footwear. Registration is essential for catering purposes.
