Event description

Join Alice Ottey, the original owner of The Parkerville Tavern as she recounts past events & marvels at what her humble hotel has become.

Alice Ottey, the original owner of The Railway Hotel, (now The Parkerville Tavern) will take you on a historical journey, as she wonders at the sights and sounds of the success of ‘her’ tavern – The Parkerville Tavern - leading patrons on a historical tour of this landmark, historically listed, pub in the hills. When Alice’s legacy began back in 1902, our beloved ‘Parky’ was the site of The Railway Hotel. Alice has returned for one night only to tour the site of what once was her ramshackle house where she sold wine and beer from the cellar. Through Alice’s eyes, you will see her wonder at what is now a two-storey marvel, as you walk with her through the establishment and up the stairs onto the second storey balcony. As you walk through the building, Alice will let you in on historical stories and the telling of tales that have stood the test of time and will continue to have a place in the history of the Tavern well into the future.

This event includes a 3 course meal with a selection of canapes, a choice of 4 main courses, and a choice of dessert. The performance takes place after the main course, at which point guests are taken through the tavern and up onto the first floor balcony. Dessert is served back in the restaurant when the performance concludes.

Limited places available.

Alice Ottey is played by Shelly Miller.
