Tilly Vickers Willis & Margo Mann at Table Records, Castlemaine
Description
Melbourne musician Tilly Vickers Willis & her band visit table records to experience her beautiful and haunting debut record, Silver Halide Film. TVW and her band craft music that is utterly haunting in both tone and restraint, threading the shadowy textures of Portishead and Lamb through her own lens. The album toggles between two states—downtempo, dissociative detachment, and the almost mystical, but certainly magical, feeling of connection; not only with others but with one’s own body.

At table records, Tilly Vickers Willis is joined by Margo Mann, friend & collaborator. Margo Mann brings her debut album Love Is A Dog to life live, backed by her 5-piece band. Out October via PIAS, the record was written and recorded in France with producer Burke Reid (Julia Jacklin, Olympia, Jack Ladder). It’s cinematic chamber pop with a theatrical edge, bringing hints of the 90’s LA Largo scene to Naarm.
