Event description

On May 4th, Tilly Vickers Willis and her 5-piece band play upstairs at Grace Darling to welcome the release of Circuit, the first single from her debut album.

The single launch event will take place on a cosy Autumn Sunday afternoon. Heart-felt music, espresso, pastries, organic wine and slow chess-games will fill the dwindling sunlit day with cosy ambience. All are welcome & encouraged to bring the tools that make them comfortable and engaged, whether it's knitting project, notepad, camera or a pack of cards.

Promoted by Holy Trinity, the Circuit launch will also feature Melbourne sweethearts Flesh Cherub (3-piece) and Sascha Müller (full band).

Tilly Vickers Willis

As the opening moments of Naarm/Melbourne singer-songwriter Tilly Vickers Willis’ show unfold, her smoky, timeless soundscapes swell to fill the room. Taking influence from groundbreaking artists like PJ Harvey, Beck, Cate Le Bon, Suzanne Vega, and Françoise Hardy, Vickers Willis weaves together layered and sophisticated sonic textures, transporting listeners into the worlds that exist within her music. In May, Tilly brings her 5-piece band on tour for the first time. The tour marks the first single 'Circuit' for the artist, who will be releasing her debut album in September: ‘𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘪𝘵’ 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 - 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴."

Flesh Cherub

Flesh Cherub are self-described "Sad Boi Yeehaw Soul".

Says TVW:  Flesh Cherub's live band is comprised of nylon string guitar, pedal steel, unrestrained backing vocals and poetry with a disarming asymmetry. Always playing with the form of DIY-sad-country, Flesh Cherub turns you inward, outward and in again; with heartache, rage, humour, hope and arresting energy. https://linktr.ee/fleshcherub

Sascha Müller

Australian singer-songwritter Sascha Muller pairs honest and thoughtful lyrics with soulful guitar. Experimental chords mark her boundless curiosity and evoke a sense of warm, wintery blues. Happy and sad, dark and hopeful.

Says TVW: Next time it's raining, play Sascha Müller's album 'Myth of Quiet'. Her music is comfort, and her compositions unfold as pure and effortless as rain on a train window, at once distorting and softening the world rushing past. https://linktr.ee/saschamulle

*Holy Trinity are a Naarm/Melbourne based, indie promotor platforming female identifying and GNC artists and contributors.
