Tim Thomas – Journey Beyond Trauma

Veteran Special Forces Commando Tim Thomas on his journey to being PTSD free.

Judith Richards interviews Tim Thomas about his remarkable story.

Tim will talk about his life that led to PTSD, including serving in Afghanistan and East Timor.

His journey in trying to resolve his trauma culminated in meeting Judith Richards and experiencing TRTP.

Tim will share his experience with TRTP and the positive impacts that it has had on his life.

Tim's Bio

Tim grew up in a small coastal town in South Australia, with close association with the Indigenous community. He learned from the Elders about Aboriginal culture, language, bush tucker, and their connection to the land.

After moving to the Northern Territory as a young man, he worked very hard, long hours on a remote cattle station.

He immersed himself in martial arts and won several MMA Australian titles.

In 2004, Tim made his way into the elites of the Australian Army, as a Special Forces Commando.

He served in Afghanistan and East Timor, and left the military in 2010. Once out, things started going very badly for him, as he came to realise that what he had, was undiagnosed PTSD. He worked diligently on managing his PTSD. It was a difficult battle.

A trusted friend recommended TRTP to him in 2017. Sceptical, but trusting his friend, he met Judith Richards and completed the 3 step TRTP process. The rest is history.

Tim has a passion for improving sleep and connection. Tim’s military service taught him the power of human connection. He has created a ground-breaking program, Breathwork In Bed.

He saw first-hand the importance of improving the quality of sleep, especially for veterans with PTSD. Tim’s social change efforts also focus on connection to others.

From paid and voluntary work with charities like Mates4Mates, the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation, and several others, on top of the public speaking engagements across business, sporting groups, high schools and media outlets, Tim spreads a message that is powerful, positive and permanent.
