Timber and Wood Products Cadetship - Information Night
Description
Earn while you learn - explore a career in Timber and Wood Products!
Did you know you can get paid, gain hands-on industry experience and complete a nationally recognised qualification while still at school?
Join us on Wednesday 4 November 2026 to learn about the Timber and Wood Products Operations School-Based Cadetship (traineeship) and the opportunities available for students in 2027.
The 12-month program offers students paid workplace experience across four local timber manufacturers - AAM Timber, Timberlink Australia, Porta Products and OneFortyOne - while completing a Certificate II in Timber and Wood Products Operations through LITA Training and continuing their SACE studies.
The program was also recognised as a finalist in the Industry Collaboration category at the 2026 South Australian Training Awards.
What can you expect at the Information Night?
Come along to learn how the cadetship works, what students can expect from their placements and training, and where the qualification could take them.
You'll have the opportunity to meet program representatives, ask questions and learn how to apply for 2027.
We'll also be firing up the BBQ for some dinner, so come along, grab a bite and have a chat!
Students, parents, carers, teachers and school VET Coordinators are all welcome. Attendance is free, but please register to help us plan for the evening.
