Step back in time and discover the fascinating story of the timber industry that helped shape the Camden Haven and Hastings regions.

Join us for an afternoon of local history, community storytelling, and shared memories as we explore the people, places, and legacy of our region's first major industry.

The Camden Haven Historical Society is delighted to welcome a special guest speaker Daphne Salt, from the Wauchope District Historical Society, who will present an engaging talk on the very early days of the timber industry, how timber was felled, transported and milled. Discover the traditional methods, skills and ingenuity used by early timber workers before the advent of modern machinery.

Browse a display of historic timber industry artefacts and photographs.

Help bring our local history to life by bringing along your own memorabilia, photographs, and stories to share with the community.

The Camden Haven Historical Society would like to thank the Laurieton United Services Club and the Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce, for their support with this event.
