Time for Remembering is an occasion to come together to commemorate loved ones lost and injured on our roads, give thanks for those who survived and pay tribute to all who work tirelessly to reduce the road toll

How to join Time for Remembering

Time for Remembering will be live-streamed via Zoom. It is a free event but you must register to receive the Zoom link. Please click on the purple box 'Get Tickets' to the right.

If you have not used Zoom before, please call us on 1300 367 797.

You are welcome to join the ceremony from wherever you are located. Now more than ever, it is important to stay connected and support each other.

Remembering your loved ones

We invite you to share your loved ones name to be acknowledged in the ceremony.

When you register, there is the opportunity to submit your loved one/s name. During the ceremony, we will light candles of remembrance and their names will be shown on screen. We will need your loved one/s names before 9 am on Sunday.

We also invite you to bring a photo of your loved one or other symbol of remembrance, to hold and share during the ceremony.

The history of Time for Remembering

Time for Remembering has been held at Parliament House on the third Sunday in November, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Trauma Victims since 2001.

Jeanette Suhr lost her 19-year-old daughter Tanya to a road crash in December 1991, a trauma that still impacts her every day. In her story below, Jeanette talks about how vital our Time for Remembering ceremony is for her. Thank you to Victoria Police for allowing us to share this video.
