  • Music festival: Stroll amongst heritage buildings and an historic township alive with festival buskers and local art.

Rest at Your Own Pace

  • Unstructured time: Space to read by the fire, try a craft, or enjoy a nap.

  • Simple comforts: A cozy homestead to return to at the end of each day.

  • All-inclusive care: Your accommodation including linen, three dinners, three breakfasts and one lunch, plus all guided activities are included. Sunday lunch will be in town at own expense.

  • Room options are $495pp twin share; $450pp Queen share or $695pp own double bed room.

Description

Our home for the weekend is a lovingly restored homestead, situated on 10 acres with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, 10 minutes drive from Tenterfield.

Retreat Agenda

Day 1: Friday, October 2

Afternoon from 3pm: Arrive and settle in.

6:30pm: Welcome Dinner

8.30pm Relaxation and Meditation

Day 2: Saturday, October 3

7.30am Yoga

8.45am Breakfast

10am: A half hour scenic drive takes us to Bald Rock National Park where we’ll take a 4.2km loop hike to the tops of the Southern Hemisphere's largest granite monolith.  Bungoona Walk the gentler, scenic alternative to the steeper more challenging Rock Face climb. We’ll wind our way through massive tumbled boulders to the summit that offers 360-degree views that are truly breathtaking.

We'll explore local area attractions and enjoy a picnic lunch in a stunning national park, with the option for a swim for a refreshing swim.

Back at our homestead there’ll be time to put the feet up and chat or simply take some quiet time.

Day 3: Sunday, October 4

7.30am Yoga

8.45am: Breakfast

10am Explore the township of Tenterfield. A stroll along the Heritage Trail takes us through the town’s historic heart. As our visit coincides with the Peter Allan Festival, we’ll enjoy live music from buskers along the way. Highlights also include colonial architecture, the School of Arts and various Museums and Memorials.

12.30pm: Lunch at Bohemian Tearoom (own expense)

Afternoon at leisure. Options include a harder hike, book a massage, read by the fire, browse local art galleries, take a nap or join in some craft activities back at home.

6:30pm: Dinner back at the homestead

Day 4: Monday, October 5

7.30am: Yoga

8.30am: Breakfast

10:00am: Check out.
Option to walk the 5.3km Junction Track and Bald Rock Creek Circuit in Girraween National Park. It’s an easy 5.3km walk. Then to Suttons Farm for a savory treat an maybe their famous apple pie before safe travels home.

Inclusions: 3 nights accommodation, 3 dinners, 3 breakfasts, 1 lunch and all activities.
