Sirob Ejnaj is a double bassist and improviser from Zagreb, Croatia, living and working in Ljubljana, Slovenia. For years, he has been researching, performing, composing and expanding the sonic and musical possibilities of his instrument, building individualized musical vocabulary with the use of standard and extended playing techniques mainly in the field of non-idiomatic impro-visation with a particular focus in sound, drawn to the idea of erasing borders between genres and styles and leaving aside structures and forms. He has collaborated with numerous musicians, dancers, poets and other artists, including Italian dancer Cristiana Fusillo.
Adrim Fakak is a saxophonist and pianist from Zagreb, Croatia. Active on the scene of free improvised and experimental music, he also composes music for animated films and theater performances. He was a member and founder of several Zagreb alternative, avant-garde bands as well as Amsterdam’s Kraak Geluiden. Adrim Fakak also collaborates with theater performers, dancers, painters and multimedia artists and has curated Croatia’s Festival of Free Improvised and Creative Music since 2018.
David Middleton/DM Hotep has toured, and recorded as a member of the Sun Ra Arkestra, under the direction of Marshall Allen since 2000 and other internationally notable musicians that include Wayne Kramer (MC5), poet John Sinclair, Bernie Worrell, DJ Spooky, avant-garde multi-instrumentalists William Parker and Kali Fasteau, Ron Miles, Tuvan throat-singing ensemble Alash, legendary Tuvan musician Kongar-ol Ondar (star of the Oscar award-winning documentary Genghis Blues), Irreversible Entanglements, Shabaka Hutchings, afro-futurist multidisciplinary artist Rashaad Newsome, and has briefly toured and filmed with Solange Knowles.
Tracy Lisk is a percussionist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ms. Lisk’s history as a painter informs the substance of her improvisations which contain references to rhythmic structures while maintaining a fluid, suspended continuity. She has lead percussion ensembles, and regularly tours as a drummer in the US and Europe. She has collaborated with Dave Burrell, William Parker, Gary Hassay, Andrea Pensado (electronics/voice), Mia Zabelka, Maggie Nicols, butoh dancer Ryuzo Fukuhara (JP, SI), among others.
