Tina Harrod is one of Australia's finest singers and songwriters.

Emerging from the contemporary soul/funk scene in Sydney in the 1990's performing and writing with her partner, the music legend Jackie Orzacsky, Tina has gone on to release five solo records and has been an a very much in demand backing singer for many luminary artists such as Jimmy Barnes.

Growing as an artist with each of her releases she has achieved what all singers and musicians strive for, an authenticity through her insights, musical technique and story-telling ability that see her different characters weaving their way through the bars of her songs.

Her second album Worksongs was a set of Jazz standards and covers that won her the Jazz Bell Award for best female vocal and the Australian Independent Recording Association’s best Jazz Album and it cemented her as one of Australia’s great singers through her compelling interpretations of jazz classics and iconic pop songs. The band on the recording featured three of Australia’s greatest musicians, Matt McMahon on piano (Vince Jones quintet), Jonathan Zwartz on double bass and Hamish Stuart on drums.  Matt, Hamish and Jonathan will also comprise Tinas core trio for her live performance on Thursday May 7th, with the addition of the rising star guitarist, Oliver Thorpe.

Tina has been in the studio most recently recording her sixth album and will be performing material from this as well as some favourite songs from inspirations such as Joni Mitchell and Nina Simone.

This will be an inspired performance not to be missed!
