About Tinnyu

Shangri-La, a romantic region in China's southermost province, Yunnan, is the enchanting future of Chinese wine. The region's deep alpine valleys, with tiny plots of grapevines dotted along some of the world’s largest rivers, exists in the shadows of 5000m high mountains. One of the most breathtaking and culturally diverse places in the world, Yunnan has attracted plenty of international acclaim for its high-quality, rare wines from established estates such as Ao Yun, Xiao Ling, and Celebre.

Amongst them, Tinnyu - an independent project owned and operated by two winemakers - shines like a diamond in the rough. The duo spends as much time as possible with their Tibetan growing partners and emphasise work in the vineyard to captures the freshness and alpine terroir of this wonderfully unique place in the world.

Tinnyu work with just 0.87ha and make a limited amount of wines every year, a handful of which found their way to Australia.

Now in Melbourne, Yan brings that same ethos to Toorak Road, carrying over a selection of Sydney favourites alongside a few exclusive Melbourne twists. The result is a modern smokehouse unlike any other, where technique meets creativity, and every plate tells a story of precision, passion, and fire.
