Loddon Valley Arts Trail - Tintype Portraits at Laanecoorie
Description
Laanecoorie, with its historic weir and bridge, is deep in the heart of colonial Victoria's memorable landscape. When tintype photography developed in the 19th century, every home had a family portrait, and it was important to record events like the opening of the bridge or a footy final. Alongside Laanecoorie Hall's fascinating historical collection of memorabilia, Darron Davies will display contemporary photographs both with modern techniques and with a tintype camera. This is a unique opportunity to record your own heritage photograph, with an individual session to have your portrait taken, which Darron will process onsite in his portable darkroom. Bring the kids, bring the dog, come and be transported back in time.
Book a session in the calendar list: deposit required - please note phone reception is unreliable in Laanecoorie. Portrait payment will need to be cash. If you prefer to pay upfront to avoid requiring cash, please select that session option.
