This event has passed Get tickets

    Event description

Help the team from ReLeaf Lake Mac get more than 750 native plants in the ground to establish Lake Mac's first Tiny Forest.

We'll be planting, watering, and spreading mulch.

Please wear covered shoes, comfortable sun safe clothes, bring a water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them.

The Lake Mac Tiny Forest will be a dense planting of local native species, designed to grow quickly into a mature native forest. The Tiny Forest will provide wildlife habitat, capture carbon, reduce urban heat impacts and provide a place for nature study and relaxation.
Find out more about the Lake Mac Tiny Forest project at sustainableneighbourhoods.org.au/tiny-forest and facebook.com/releaflakemac.

Volunteers from ReLeaf Lake Mac are leading the project as part of the Lake Macquarie Sustainable Neighbourhood Alliance. We are thankful for support from Earthwatch Australia, Hunter Water, Origin Energy and Lake Macquarie City Council.
