Tiny Seeds to Big Change
Event description
Habitat Heroes is turning 10 and you’re invited!
With over 500 habitat gardens planted in Wyndham over the last decade, we’re inviting you to join us and Gardening Australia presenter, Millie Ross, to celebrate.
Millie will give a keynote talk on the importance of urban biodiversity, the role our gardens play in supporting wildlife, and why she’s so passionate about native plants.
Millie Ross is a professional horticulturist, garden designer, writer and broadcaster. An innovative gardener with an unconventional approach, Millie specialises in creative construction, sourcing local, low-cost materials and using plants in unusual ways. Author of The Thrifty Gardener; a practical guide to building the garden you want with whatever you've got, Millie aims to get everyone growing!
Light snacks, tea and coffee will be available from 6:00pm for early arrivals. Before you settle in for the main event, take the opportunity to explore displays from local conservation groups, and learn about other FREE sustainability and environmental programs on offer for the Wyndham community.
