Tiny Wildlife: A World Water Day Activity
Event description
Planning to come to World Water Day this year? Ready to get your feet wet? Join the Oak Creek Watershed Council for this scheduled activity and meet some of the macroinvertebrates that call Oak Creek home.
You'll join a scientist from the Oak Creek Watershed Council and participate in a hands-on survey, where we'll count and identify live macroinvertebrates. Afterwards we'll have a brief discussion about why we do these surveys and what they tell us about the overall health of the creek! All survey equipment will be provided, but participants should be prepared to get hands and feet wet. This activity is suited to all ages, but any kids under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
