National First Nations Education Conference 2027
Description
Presented by TIPIAC x Riley Callie Resources
The TIPIAC x Riley Callie Resources National First Nations Education Conference returns in 2027, bringing together educators, school leaders, system leaders, and community allies from across Australia who are committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives with integrity, depth, and accountability.
Building on the success of our 2026 conference in Brisbane, we are excited to bring this national gathering to Sydney in 2027, creating another opportunity for meaningful learning, connection, reflection, and collaboration.
This one-day First Nations-led conference creates space to listen deeply, challenge thinking, share knowledge, and strengthen educational practice grounded in relationships, Country, culture, and truth telling.
We are developing an exciting program that brings together leading First Nations voices, diverse perspectives, and practical approaches to strengthening Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education across Australia.
Through interactive workshops and meaningful conversations, delegates will explore ways to move beyond surface-level inclusion and build greater confidence, understanding, and cultural responsiveness in their everyday practice.
With a strong focus on practical application, the conference will provide opportunities to explore areas such as truth telling, cultural safety, curriculum inclusion, First Nations pedagogies, reconciliation, community engagement, and embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges across learning environments.
More than a professional learning event, the National First Nations Education Conference is an opportunity to come together, build connections, challenge perspectives, and be part of a collective commitment to strengthening First Nations education across Australia.
