Walking Together in Education

The TIPIAC x Riley Callie Resources National First Nations Education Conference is a one-day national gathering for educators, school leaders, system leaders, and community allies who are committed to embedding First Nations perspectives with integrity, depth, and accountability.

This conference creates space to listen deeply, reflect honestly, and strengthen practice grounded in relationship, Country, and truth telling. It is designed for those who understand that meaningful First Nations education is not a checklist or a one off, but an ongoing way of being, teaching, and leading.

Across the day, participants will engage with First Nations educators, leaders, and knowledge holders through keynote presentations, panel conversations, and practical sessions that support real change in classrooms, schools, and organisations.

Our keynote speaker, Max Lenoy, is a leading First Nations educator and curriculum specialist, whose work in embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge into the Australian Curriculum brings both authority and real-world relevance to the conversation.

Throughout the program, educators will have the opportunity to engage in interactive workshops and discussions led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, with a clear emphasis on practical, classroom-ready strategies.

From Max Lenoy sharing the ACARA FIRST Framework, to workshops on truth telling, Torres Strait Islander culture, Reconciliation Action Plans, Indigenous STEM, Native Gardens, the 8 Ways Pedagogy Roadmap, and cultural safety in action, every keynote, workshop, and panel speaker is a leader in this space.
