Tipped with Blood
Description
The early 1400s, in the woods somewhere between Dresden and Prague. Miloš, a poor tanner down on his luck, finds a rusty spearhead on the forest floor. Embarrassed in front of his wife’s parents, he declares it to be Holy Relic and swears to it on his immortal soul.
The lie draws visitors to his door: a courteous stranger, a wandering Knight and a Cardinal of the Roman Church, each determined to possess the spearhead. Piety gives way to bribery, threats and violence, and Miloš’s lie risks to destroy everything it was meant to protect.
An original one-act play by Daniel Fruman-Naumov, directed by Josh Moore. A work in progress from Freitag & Fruman, ahead of its full premiere in 2027.
