We’re tipsy trails. We’re on a mission to get more people in their 20s outdoors and turn an online community into a seriously epic in-person one.

We walk together along some of New Zealand’s most stunning trails, chatting with new and old mates - usually wrapping things up with a well-earned beverage afterwards.

We’re a club built on the idea that getting outdoors doesn’t have to be super serious or intense - it should be accessible, with a bit of fun. You don’t need fancy gear. You don’t need to be “outdoorsy.” You don’t even need a group to come with - rocking up solo is totally normal here. All paces and abilities are welcome. You just need to show up and enjoy the rest.

⛰️ TRAIL INFO

Trail: Kaukau Lookout Loop, Wellington

Length: Loop, approx. 4.3km, 266m elevation gain, around 1.5 - 2 hours

Difficulty: Rated Moderate by AllTrails

🎒 WHAT TO BRING?

• Water bottle (make sure it’s full!)

• comfy walking shoes,

• a warm layer for during and after the hike 🧥,

• a waterproof jacket (just in case 🌧️),

• trail snacks (interpret this however your heart desires),

• hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (fingers crossed for sunshine ☀️),

• a bag to throw everything in (backpack or side bag works perfectly 🎒)

🍻 POST-HIKE PLANS?

With the trail wrapped up and the afternoon still ahead, we’ll head to a nearby pub for a well-earned beverage and bite to eat!

🚙 NEED / CAN OFFER A LIFT

Carpooling is available for anyone who needs a lift or can offer one. Once you have registered, you can connect with others in the Facebook messenger carpool group chat, share your area, and organise pick-up details directly.
