Description

Join TITLE and Penguin Random House for an evening of wine, great conversation and women in writing: Shining a Spotlight on Debut Authors

Bringing together three distinctive voices, Mary Colussi (Touch Grass), Munira Tabassum Ahmed (The Clinging Thing) and Olivia Simons (Lying Is My Love Language), this intimate author panel is an opportunity to get to know the women behind the words, hear the stories behind their books and explore the ideas, experiences and inspirations that shape their writing.

Expect thoughtful conversation, new perspectives, a glass of wine and the chance to discover your next great read. All three books will be available to purchase on the night. Ticket fee includes a complimentary glass of wine, entry into our Lucky Door Prize (valued at $150) which will be drawn on the night.

The Clinging Thing: After the loss of a pregnancy, Iqra returns to her mother's home in the place where she grew up. The past is porous, her recollections fail her, yet she is suffocating with memory. A couple of hours out of the city, Seam River pulls Iqra back into a state of bewilderment. She revisits the stories of her parents and all the women before her, as dreams, memories, the uncertain and the impossible converge.

  • Olivia Simons

Lying is my Love Language: Jamie Hayes lies to keep things light and casual. It's a foolproof formula full of strong cocktails and even stronger exit strategies. That's until she meets Luke at an outback wedding and discovers there's one flaw in her strategy: he doesn't believe a word she says.
