To Add a Pocket

Join Silvana Cano Hernández to learn how to add a pocket to your skirts! An alumni of CSU’s Design and Merchandising program who is very passionate about fashion history and an avid seamstress. At this workshop you will learn about skirt pockets and insert one into the side seam of one of your garments using a sewing machine and some spare fabric.

Please bring a skirt of your own to add a pocket. Don't have one? Consider visiting your local thrift store for a piece to work with. No stretch fabrics please! The museum will provide everything else you need to add your pocket.
