CSMC are launching a groundbreaking report that centres the voices of children raised in single mother families across Victoria – and we’d love you to join us.

Our research included a survey and focus groups with young people growing up in single mother households, with the aim of better understanding their lives, their strengths and challenges, and whether or not their needs are being met. .

The results bring into sharp focus the everyday barriers that young people in single mother families navigate — barriers are often hidden in plain sight or ignored.

At the online launch, we will share the results of our conversations with young people, including their insights, challenges and hopes. We will present their recommendations and begin to explore ways policy and services must adapt to genuinely support children and young people in single mother families.
