ACA Wheelhouse presents...To the DeathYou are invited to join filmmakers Menik Gooneratne (Mortal Engines, Lion) and Yasmin Kassim (Jungle, Sex Lives of College Girls) for a special screening of their debut short film To the Death.To the Death takes a darkly satirical look at tokenism in casting - telling the story of two South Asian actors who are forced to fight to the death for a role, as it’s physically impossible to have more than one brown person on a show. The screening will be followed by an industry panel featuring Menik, Yasmin, screenwriter Mithila Gupta, producer/director Ana Tiwary and other special guests, discussing their experiences as creatives in the film and media industries and workshopping collaborative ways of increasing authentic representation.
