Toddler and Pre-school Creative Moves Class

Dance and music class for children age 18 months to 4 years and their grown up. Live fiddle music! Reduced price for additional siblings.

The perfect weekly class to get your child moving in creative ways.

Children will learn about dance, drama and music through games, songs, live music and play. Grown ups and children work as a pair - it's a great work out for all, and helps the child develop confidence, coordination and creativity!

Led by Jo Jeffries - choreographer, musician and co-director of award winning Edinburgh Youth Theatre - this class has previously been exclusive to Dance Base, Scotland's National Centre for Dance. Now Jo is bringing this wonderful and unique experience to Leith!

Jo Jeffries graduated with a BA(Hons) in Performing Arts from LIPA in 2005 and has danced in theatre for 18 years, performing and choreographing in the UK, Europe and the USA.

She grew up in Edinburgh and has delivered an extensive range of classes throughout her career, to ages 0 upwards, including:

• Early Years Expressive Arts tutor at Moray House, Edinburgh University 
• Dance co-ordinator at North Edinburgh Arts
• Inclusive dance teacher in East Lothian

Since 2018, Jo has been co-director of Edinburgh Youth Theatre, which has grown to provide access to the arts for over 300 young people age 3-18 in Edinburgh each year.

Jo has two young children and lives in Leith. Her passion for working with children and families shines through in every class as does her joy for playing the fiddle!
