Event description
Join us for Climate Action Week and on World Environment Day for a screening of the newest film by Happen Films – Together We Grow! A 40-minute documentary story of community empowerment and resilience through connection. It shares the journey of Common Unity Project Aotearoa, a thriving hub in Lower Hutt helping to build the resilience of the local community by growing, sewing, repairing, sharing – you name it, Common Unity is doing it.
Afterwards, the film makers Jordan Osmond and Antoinette Wilson will be joined by Julia Milne, the founder of Common Unity, in a Q&A session and community conversation facilitated by Nelson City Councillor Rohan O’Neil-Stevens.
The film starts at 7pm – but please join us from 6:30 for a light snack in the atrium. There will be beer and wine for purchase and please bring your own water bottle to save plastic.
