After appearing in the top 20 hottest singles chart for their release of debut single "Nōku Nei Te Aroha." Tohu are back live at Level 13 Theme Rooms in Rotorua to celebrate the launch of their latest creation "Tū Mai Te Reo."
Featuring as part of Kawerau Christmas in the park 2022 and Pasifika Festival at Western Springs, Tohu bring to life a set of tunes connecting cultural identity and language. Band members Tamarakau Hiini (vocals), Trojan-John Te Rehu-Tuki (guitar/vocals), Jonelle Williams (drums), Elizabeth Chia (keyboards/vocals), and Jeamal Murray-Hohua (bass/vocals) complete a special line up of Rotorua musicians that desire to perpetuate a bilingual society through music.
Guest performances by Māori songwriter Hāni Dread (Creative Natives, Katchafire) and local tertiary music student Max Imus.
