Homegrown Climate Conversations: Climathon Waikato Roadshow
Event description
Join Climathon Waikato for an evening of homegrown climate conversations.
From 5pm, we'll be gathering for a cosy evening at Impact Hub South Waikato, ready to soak up the stories of Tokoroa locals who have taken action toward a greener future for themselves and their communities.
Our first guest speaker is Micheal Quintern from MyNoke - a Waikato-based company that are leading the way with converting organic waste into soil-enhancing Vermicast (worm poo). More speakers to be revealed soon.
Entrance is free and snacks are provided!
We welcome those of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and genders to join us. It doesn't matter whether you just want to learn more about sustainability, or are already a passionate climate activist ... there's something for everyone to enjoy during this evening of inspiration and action.

The morning after the event, the Climathon Waikato team will travel via e-bike to Matamata. You're welcome to join the journey too - we'll be departing from Impact Hub South Waikato at 6am - meet us there at 5:45am with your own bike and safety gear. We expect to arrive in Matamata around 10am.
Then, across the following 4 days, we'll be cycling all across the region and hosting a climate action-themed event in each town we stop in, bringing local communities together to connect and take action, as part of the Climathon Waikato roadshow.
Thanks to Electrify for making this event series possible, and all Climathon Waikato sponsors - Trust Waikato, The University of Waikato, Hamilton City Council, and Waikato Plan.
