This is the story of a lover's triangle and the nation's first highly publicized crime of passion!  The tale of Tom Dooley experienced a resurgence of popularity with the international hit "Tom Dooley" by The Kingston Trio.  This is the legend behind the ballad.  Tom Dooley, was a popular fiddle playin' ladies man who loved two women too much.  One, the beautiful and kind Laura Foster and the other, a raven haired beauty with a quick temper and a dangerous obsession with Tom.  This July, you can see the story unfold on the Mac Gray Auditorium stage with the old time music of Third Wheel.
