For one night only, Jarrahdale Equestrian Centre is hosting an exclusive intimate event that takes you behind the scenes of horseman Tom Curtain’s horse and dog training like never before!

Kick off the evening with the incredible Australian singer songwriter Laura Frank, setting the mood with her stunning live performance. Then, Tom Curtain will take the reins, sharing his expert knowledge in an up-close and personal animal training session, demonstrating the parallels between training animals and working with people. Watch and learn as Tom shares his training ideas and insights, offering a rare glimpse into his unique approach to working with horses and working dogs.

Chris Matthews will take the stage before multiple Golden Guitar winner, Tom Curtain closes out the night with a special intimate performance.

Of course, no VIP event would be complete without a selection of food and beverages perfect for an outback show, presented by the Jarrahdale Equestrian Centre's Pink Ladies.

Food/ Drinks: Food/drinks will be available to purchase. As there is a licensed bar run by the Jarrahdale Equestrian Centre, strictly no BYO alcohol or glass.

What to Bring: Guests encouraged to BYO chairs. Cash and EFTPOS accepted for merchandise and food/ drink purchases. Please dress appropriately for an outdoor event.

Cancellation: Should the event be cancelled, guests will be issued a full refund.

Tom Curtain Music

Tom Curtain is a nationally acclaimed singer/ songwriter. This tour coincides with the release of his fifth studio album Nothin's Gonna Stop Us - the first release of this album "Why We Live Out Here" had great success, remaining in the Country Songs Australian Airplay Chart for 10 months. His last album We're Still Here debuted at No.1 on the Australian Country Music Charts with all four singles released from the album also going to No.1.

In 2018 Tom won two Golden Guitar Awards for his single "Never Never Land", a duet with Luke O'Shea. Tom was also awarded the prestigious 2018 Australian Independent Country Music Artist of the Year Award together with Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year (Territory Time) and Single of the Year("Never Never Land") at the Southern Stars Australian Independent Country Music Awards.

Tom is also an official ambassador of Dolly's Dream. Moved by the tragic passing of Amy ‘Dolly’ Everett, who took her young life after being relentlessly cyber-bullied, Tom put pen to paper and released the single "Speak Up" with Sara Storer. To date, over $35,000 has been raised by the Katherine Outback Experience and Outback Productions through the sale of the song and branded shirts. These donations are used to provide useful and powerful tools for schools, children and family members (www.dollysdream.org.au) to fight online bullying.

Katherine Outback Experience

Owned and operated by Tom Curtain, Katherine Outback Experience (KOE) is an outback show that celebrates life on the land through real horse-starting and working dog demonstrations entwined with live music and humorous bush tales. KOE has won multiple awards over many years - most recently:

The show is based in Katherine from April to the end of October over the ‘Dry Season’ months. Over the Wet Season summer months, the team hit the road, touring the Outback Show in conjunction with Tom's music.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Unless stated otherwise, there is no minimum age limit on the event. ID however will be needed where there is a bar. Guests will be issued wristbands dependent on their age.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Unless stated otherwise, you are responsible for arranging your own transport to and from the event.

What can I bring into the event?

Unless stated elsewhere, we recommend wearing weather appropriate clothing for an outdoor event, bring a chair or picnic blanket to sit on and and cash/ cards to purchase food, drinks and merchandise.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Please email us at events@katherineoutback.com.au. We will be on the tour and at times will have limited phone service or be busy running other shows. We will endeavour to respond as soon as possible.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds will only be issued in extenuating circumstances. Please submit refund requests via email to the event organisers with supporting documentation at events@katherineoutback.com.au. The event organisers reserve the right to refuse refunds.

The event will proceed in rain, hail or shine where considered safe. Should it be deemed necessary, the event organisers reserve the right to relocate the event to an alternative location and guests will be notified via email at the earliest convenience. Should the event be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered refunds.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No you do not, in fact we encourage you to save paper by not printing your tickets. We can simply scan your ticket from your phone or look up your booking using the registered name (it takes us two ticks). Note if you book your tickets through Facebook, your Facebook account name will be registered on the tickets.

Can I update my registration information?

You certainly can! Please refer to your confirmation email for additional information.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

It sure is! It's very helpful for us if you do update the ticket owner information so we can send any important information to the correct person.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

It is okay however it makes our job easier if you update the information!
