Due to the overwhelming support of the community we have had to move locations to safely accommodate the increased number of people. We haven't moved very far, just down the road to the Serpentine Horse and Pony Club on the corner of Karnup Road and Hall Road in Serpentine (accessible off Karnup Road). All other details are the same.

A heartfelt thank you to the Jarrahdale Equestrian Centre for their incredible ongoing support. They’ll be fundraising through food and drink sales at the show, and we’re working with them on a VIP evening—details coming soon! We’d also like to acknowledge Eventing in the Park who are hosting Equestrian in the Park Saloon the following day on SAturday 8 February at the Serpentine Horse and Pony Club, supporting the sustainability of Eventing in WA. They have some amazing raffle and auction items up for grabs.

Tom Curtain's Good Life Tour

To celebrate the release of his fifth album, multiple Golden Guitar winner and horseman extraordinaire Tom Curtain, has again hit the road with his award winning Outback Show Katherine Outback Experience as part of his Good Life Tour.

The show is entertaining, engaging, interactive and family-friendly, and consists of:

1 hour Katherine Outback Experience Show of real horse training and working dog demonstrations including plenty of hands-on fun for the kids!
2 hours of live music by Tom Curtain, Laura Frank and Chris Matthews

Tom is passionate about bringing his show to towns and communities that are often overlooked on the entertainment trail.

Tom Curtain Music

Tom Curtain is a nationally acclaimed singer/ songwriter. This tour coincides with the release of his fifth studio album Nothin's Gonna Stop Us - the first release of this album "Why We Live Out Here" has had great success, remaining in the Country Songs Australian Airplay Chart for 10 months. His last album We're Still Here debuted at No.1 on the Australian Country Music Charts with all four singles released from the album also going to No.1.

In 2018 Tom won two Golden Guitar Awards for his single "Never Never Land", a duet with Luke O'Shea. Tom was also awarded the prestigious 2018 Australian Independent Country Music Artist of the Year Award together with Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year (Territory Time) and Single of the Year("Never Never Land") at the Southern Stars Australian Independent Country Music Awards.

Tom is also an official ambassador of Dolly's Dream. Moved by the tragic passing of Amy ‘Dolly’ Everett, who took her young life after being relentlessly cyber-bullied, Tom put pen to paper and released the single "Speak Up" with Sara Storer. To date, over $35,000 has been raised by the Katherine Outback Experience and Outback Productions through the sale of the song and branded shirts. These donations are used to provide useful and powerful tools for schools, children and family members (www.dollysdream.org.au) to fight online bullying.

Katherine Outback Experience

Owned and operated by Tom Curtain, Katherine Outback Experience (KOE) is an outback show that celebrates life on the land through real horse-starting and working dog demonstrations entwined with live music and humorous bush tales. KOE has won multiple awards over many years - most recently:

The show is based in Katherine from April to the end of October over the ‘Dry Season’ months. Over the Wet Season summer months, the team hit the road, touring the Outback Show in conjunction with Tom's music.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Unless stated otherwise, there is no minimum age limit on the event. ID however will be needed where there is a bar. Guests will be issued wristbands dependent on their age.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Unless stated otherwise, you are responsible for arranging your own transport to and from the event.

What can I bring into the event?

Unless stated elsewhere, we recommend wearing weather appropriate clothing for an outdoor event, bring a chair or picnic blanket to sit on and and cash/ cards to purchase food, drinks and merchandise.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Please email us at events@katherineoutback.com.au. We will be on the tour and at times will have limited phone service or be busy running other shows. We will endeavour to respond as soon as possible.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds will only be issued in extenuating circumstances. Please submit refund requests via email to the event organisers with supporting documentation at events@katherineoutback.com.au. The event organisers reserve the right to refuse refunds.

The event will proceed in rain, hail or shine where considered safe. Should it be deemed necessary, the event organisers reserve the right to relocate the event to an alternative location and guests will be notified via email at the earliest convenience. Should the event be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered refunds.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No you do not, in fact we encourage you to save paper by not printing your tickets. We can simply scan your ticket from your phone or look up your booking using the registered name (it takes us two ticks). Note if you book your tickets through Facebook, your Facebook account name will be registered on the tickets.

Can I update my registration information?

You certainly can! Please refer to your confirmation email for additional information.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

It sure is! It's very helpful for us if you do update the ticket owner information so we can send any important information to the correct person.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

It is okay however it makes our job easier if you update the information!
