Feast on the Farm is your backstage pass to the Tommerup's family farm – their animals, their farm practices and ethics and their beautiful produce. Get to know the Tommerup's farm story as you wander the property, then indulge in their farm fresh produce.

Chef Richard Ousby will create a feast for the eyes and tastebuds with Tommerup's milk-fed pork, cooked over the fire. Meet and feed the animals, shop at the farm larder, join a behind the scenes tour with Farmer Dave, learn about the regenerative practices helping to build a better future for the farm, and bask in the warmth of a day in the country.

Ticket price does not include food and beverages available on the day. No BYO picnics. Enclosed shoes essential. Liability waiver to be signed by all attendees. No pets.

More about the event from Kay & Dave Tommerup:

Feast on the Farm: street food festival meets paddock to plate in the ultimate eat local adventure, right here on our farm!

For our family, Eat Local is about connecting farmers, foodies, families, and beautiful local food. This year we wanted to offer something a little different to our visitors. Something that preserves the authenticity of our farm and shares our story but creates a whole new experience for our visitors. Feast on the Farm has it all wrapped up!

    The full scoop:

As you wander the food stalls, set against the backdrop of our 6th generation family farm, we hope you’ll feel the love and hard work that goes into our beautiful produce. Produce that has been grown, reared, and crafted by our family just metres from where your family will enjoy it – paddock to plate in the truest form.

We’ve asked our mate and amazing chef, Richard Ousby, to create dishes that are simple and delicious – dishes that showcase freshness, seasonality, and tell the story of our family farm. And we think he’s nailed it! From coal roasted pig to farmhouse Caesar (not your average salad), pumpkin soup to pumpkin pie, (and a few more surprises we’re keeping up our sleeve for now…) you’ll experience what’s fresh from our farm, on our farm.

We’re doing our best to keep this food and farming celebration well priced for families. With reasonably priced meal options you can choose to snack, or go the whole hog, so to speak 😉

A range of ticket options is also available. Something for everyone!

Roll out a blanket in the picnic paddock and soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant celebration on our farm. There’ll be local beer, wine, and spirits to enjoy as well. Market stalls with local products. Live music from our gorgeous friend, Susie Colley, and kids’ activities and face painting. Our giant blackboard is becoming a firm favourite with visitors. Animal feeding is included in some tickets only – please choose tickets carefully. Milking cows is NOT included in this event.

Walk the paddocks, meet our animals, connect with our farming family, and enjoy our farm produce. Whether you join us for a farm tour or just embrace our story through our food, we hope you’ll have those conversations about how you want your food grown in the future. Conversations about how your food choices shape the future of agriculture, the future of our planet, the future for your family.

This one is about truly feeling that connection with where your food is from, and loving every mouthful.

Feast on the Farm is deliciously presented as part of 2023 Scenic Rim Eat Local Month.
