Finding Clarity within Complexity: A Systems Approach to Impact Investing

Systems thinking is a mindset and approach that emphasises the relationships, interdependence, and connections in our complex world. Today’s most pressing challenges—from climate change to clean energy, from social inequity to economic development, food security, ocean health, and biodiversity—are all inextricably intertwined. A growing number of impact investors recognize that there are no standalone issues. Effective solutions require a nuanced understanding of these systems and an embrace of their complexity.

Member Gathering: 30-31 March 2025

Join us at the end of March for the Toniic Member Gathering in Melbourne. This is an invitation to connect in person with your fellow members spread out across our vast region, many of whom you may have met only through a Zoom screen. 

• Explore Systems Lens Investing through the Three Horizons Framework. Learn how this framework can provide clarity into how to navigate the complexities of crucial systems like food, farming, finance and education – and  guide our investments and actions towards sustainable futures.
• Apply Theory to Practice: Engage in discussions that bridge theory with practical investment strategies. We will work with real case studies to understand how this framework is applied, as well as other practical tools and techniques that have been tested.
• Build community with your fellow Toniic members in Asia and Down Under! The complexity of our current challenges can leave us exhausted and disheartened, seeking refuge in simple solutions that may be ineffective or cause unintended negative consequences. We invite you to embrace complexity, sense-make together, and help build resilience through community.

100% Network Gathering: 28-30 March 2025

We’re flipping the script and putting the 100% Network Gathering ahead of the Member Gathering! For members of the 100% Network worldwide, we invite you to join us for two nights at Mossy Willow, Danny Almagor & Berry Liberman’s home and regenerative agriculture farm outside of Melbourne. This will be an opportunity to rest and reconnect before diving into the Regional Gathering.

Using the metaphor of head, heart, and hands, the 100% Network Gathering will center around the heart and connection, while the Member Gathering will center around the work of the head and hands.

Toniic Member Gathering in Asia Pacific

28-30 March: 100% Network Gathering at Mossy Willow, Danny & Berry's farm outside of Melbourne. We will begin by breaking bread together over Shabbat dinner on Friday evening. Round-trip transportation from Melbourne to Mossy Willow, two-night accommodation, and all meals and excursions are included with registration.
