Tony McManus @ The Chapel
Description
Legendary Celtic Guitarist Tony McManus
has extended and transcended the parameters of
contemporary Celtic music. Ranked alongside the guitar world’s all-time greats, his fiendishly dexterous, dazzlingly original playing draws on traditions from the entire Celtic diaspora – Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, Galicia, Asturias, Cape Breton, Quebec – along with flavours, such as jazz and east European music. His has an uncanny ability to transpose the delicate, complex ornamentation of traditional bagpipe or fiddle tunes – even the phrasing of a Gaelic song – onto his own six strings.
Joining him in a most rare collaboration is Golden Fiddle and South Australia Music Hall of Fame Awarded instrumentalist Andrew Clermont on soaring Fiddle, Mandolin & Guitar with nearly 30 years of his musical Supper Club under his belt from across the world!
Clermont is renown for his exquisite concert sound.
Andrew is also planning to survive Tony's wealth of humour he's carefully and not so carefully extracted from his world travels :-)
