It's getting hot in here and climate has something to do with it. Come join our politics in the pub panel and figure out why and what we can do.
We're joined by an excellent panel who will help us understand how the climate crisis is impacting Canberra. As leaders in their own right, they'll also share with us what we can do to protect our bush capital.
Doors to Cypher Brewing will be open from 6pm and we'll start the panel at 6:30pm. Please come with questions to ask our panel towards the end of the discussion.

Isabelle Zhu-Maguire
Isabelle Zhu-Maguire (she/her) is a PhD candidate at the Coral Bell School of Asia and Pacific Affairs within the Australian National University. Her thesis investigates the ways in which Australia 'listens' to the climate advocacy of Pacific islanders. She is an advocate for greater youth inclusion within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and a board member of the Conservation Council ACT.
Aunty Serena Williams
Aunty Serena is a proud Ngunnawal – Wiradjuri women emerging Elder, a Traditional Custodian. Aunty Serena has lived in Canberra all of her life with heavy involvement in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and organisations in the ACT and surrounding regions such as the Ngambri Aboriginal Land Council, ACSRA Aboriginal Communities Sporting and Recreational Activities, Munjuwa Aboriginal Cooperation for Housing and Health and Burringiri Aboriginal Corporation for Cultural and Arts.
Julie Boulton
Julie is a sustainable development professional, specialising in the application and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She works across all SDGs but have a particular focus on SDG 12, responsible production and consumption, with an emphasis on assisting Australia's fashion ecosystem transition to a circular approach to textiles. She is an enthusiastic communicator, a published author, an experienced public speaker and a workshop designer and facilitator. Co-presenter of the weekly podcast, Local Environmental Heroes, run with the support of the Canberra Environment Centre.
Hilary Bambrick
Hilary is an environmental epidemiologist and anthropologist with a distinguished career in research, teaching and supervision, and academic leadership over 25 years and at three distinct institutions. Hilary is nationally and internationally recognised for my work on climate change and health, in particular in adaptation strategies for building resilience, from small community-led interventions to multi-nation cross-sectoral plans.
