Tool Maintenance with Rod Hughes
Event description
Garden tools amnesty!
Garden tools – maintaining, sharpening, repairing.... and other fun stuff
There is no point denying it! We all have neglected, rusty secateurs, pruners or loppers hidden in the shed.
Bring your unloved garden tools to this hands-on workshop and together we will bring them back to life and set you up to get the best out of your seccys.
If you don’t have busted up secateurs, we will have plenty for you to practise on.
We will also look at ways to make your own garden tool handles and learn the ancient art of scything.
The presenter is Rod Hughes from Leafcutter Permaculture education and design. Rod is a former Farm Manager at Perth City Farm and is now based at Fair Harvest Permaculture in Margaret River. He likes scythes and sharp secateurs.
