This small, hands-on workshop is a chance to learn the basics of tool sharpening with Angus, in a relaxed and supportive setting at Rebuild. The session is practical and informal, with plenty of time to have a go, ask questions and build confidence. Angus will demonstrate simple sharpening techniques and guide you as you practise; either on tools provided by Rebuild or on your own tools brought from home. With very small group sizes, you’ll get proper one-to-one support and leave with sharper tools and a better understanding of how to keep them that way.

There are two time slots available: 10.30-11.30 and 12.00-13.00. Select the time you would like at booking stage.

How to care for tools to keep them working well

What to bring

Your own hand tools to sharpen (optional)
Curiosity and willingness to have a go

Rebuild will also provide some practice tools if you’d prefer not to bring your own.

Session Information

These workshops are aimed at adults. You will need to be 18 or over to attend.
Unless otherwise specified, all materials will be provided by us.
Refreshments such as tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Due to the content of some of our activities, you will be required to undertake a Health and Safety briefing before the start of the session. You may be required to wear PPE, such as face shields and gloves. This will be provided by us.
Please wear weather and activity appropriate clothing and footwear when visiting us.
