Twilight at Toonarbin

Ms Adele Rice AM (Board Director - HEAL and QPASTT, Founding Principal of Milpera State High School) and Ms Jasmina Joldić PSM (HEAL Patron) invite you to join them for an extraordinary evening in support of HEAL, the organisation which provides life-changing art therapy programs for refugee children and adolescents in Queensland schools.

For one magical night, Allen Hunter and Carmel Dyer, the custodians of Toonarbin, will graciously open their magnificent home for this unique event which brings art, music and culture together in a truly intimate and exclusive setting.

As the sun goes down, the atmosphere will ignite with the modern and traditional Gospel sounds of the Di Bruin Gospel Project, on its first ever Australian tour.

Captivating Master of Ceremonies, Sharon Orapeleng,recognised in 2024 as one of Queensland’s inspiring African Australians, will guide guests through the evening’s program as well as lead a panel discussion featuring Queensland Great, Adele Rice AM and a graduate of HEAL’s art therapy program.

You will be encouraged to partake in a personalised tour of Toonarbin’s celebrated art collection and prepare to be thoroughly enchanted by performances featuring the national prizewinners of the Musica Viva Strike-a-Chord chamber music competition. These young virtuosi, all international soloists and recipients of prestigious scholarships, will present a truly entertaining mix of classical masterpieces such as achingly beautiful Schumann and stunning Brahms, as well as tangos and jazz.

This will be an evening to remember, made even more special by the fundraising imperative at its heart, the HEAL art therapy program.
