Join us for this special session delivered by Justice Connect’s Not-for-profit Law program. Justice Connect specialise in providing legal help and support to not-for-profit organisations, to help make sense of the law, stay legally compliant, thrive within complexity, and achieve good governance.

This interactive and practical session will be customised for volunteer-involving organisations and designed to encourage questions, discussion, and active involvement from participants. After attending this training, volunteer-involving organisations can spend less time navigating complex legal requirements and more time doing what you do best – helping the community thrive!

- Defining the volunteer relationship

- Equal opportunity in volunteer recruitment

- The ‘duty of care’ your organisation owes its volunteers

- Work, health, and safety duties

- Child safety requirements

- Legal responsibility for the actions of volunteers

- Reviewing or ending the volunteer relationship
