Top Of The Pops – British Hits of the 60’s

The Album Show and Ben Maiorana Entertainment present: “Top Of the Pops – British Hits of the 60’s”.

This 2 set, 2 hour plus show takes you on a chronological trip back into arguable the most important chapter in the History of Contemporary Music. Starting with the naïve innocence of the post skiffle, poor man’s ‘rock and roll’ of the early 60’s, through the world changing social tsunami of the British Invasion, into the development of British Soul, through Psychadelia, reinventing the Blues and finishing the decade with first stages of Hard Rock, this show is a journey of hits of all shapes and sizes, performed by some of the countries greatest musical exponents of the genre.

The show, performed by long time Album Show personnel John Kater, Maddy Breen, Russell Crawford, Rod Auld and Album Show boss Michael Carpenter showcases astounding vocal prowess with all 5 members taking on lead vocals, as well as providing the necessary showcase of the vocal harmonies of the era. Combined with first class musicianship from a band of true multi-instrumentalists, the showmanship of an ensemble revelling in the material and a striking, accompanying set of visuals, the ‘Top Of The Pops’ show touches on material by The Beatles, The Hollies, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Searchers, The Who, the Rolling Stones, Dusty Springfield, Tom Jones, Lulu, Cream and many many more.

“Top Of the Pops – British Hits of the 60’s” is a vital addition to the smorgasbord of shows being offered by The Album Show, and is not to be missed!!
