Event description

"The avenging dawn appears, and makes the wicked tremble!

Now liberty is rising, and tyranny will fall!" ...

Against a brutal, oppressive state and its enforcers, a young rebellion rises. Artists, musicians, political revolutionaries - they fight in a world where fates and lives can turn on a whim, and the systems in control are tightly intertwined. Can those systems ever really be dismantled?

Tosca premiered in Rome, 1900, but remains frighteningly pertinent today. Puccini's gripping, yet deeply moving, music drama is a piece for our world, here and now.
