FAQs
- How much does it cost?
Nothing! All pizzas are free.
- Do I need to book?
Yes, bookings are essential, and spots are limited. You can book for up to four people per session.
- How does it work?
Each session is a 20-minute block. Pick your base, add your toppings, and our team will cook your pizza. You'll then head home with your pizza in one of our Makeaway pizza boxes.
- Can I eat my pizza at the restaurant?
Makeaway is made for making, so the restaurant is all about building your pizza. There's limited seating outside, but we encourage you to take your pizza somewhere else to enjoy, and to be inspired to make pizza at home with your family.
- What if I miss out on a booking?
Pop down anyway! We'd love to find a space for you. If we're at capacity, you can still head home with a free pizza base, so you can Makeaway at home.
- What bases can I choose from?
You can choose from Toscano's Classic, High Fibre High Protein, Sourdough and Gluten-Free pizza base options.
- Is there a limit to how many pizzas I can make?
Yes - to make sure we have enough for everyone, each person will receive one pizza base.
- Do you cater for dietary requirements?
We have vegetarian and halal options available. Gluten-free bases are also available, but please note that Makeaway is gluten-friendly, all bases are cooked in the same oven, so we can't guarantee there won't be any cross-contamination.
- What about allergens?
Our ingredients include dairy and nuts, so Makeaway isn't suitable for anyone needing dairy-free, nut-free or vegan options. If you have any allergies, please speak to our team before you build your pizza.
- Are kids welcome?
Makeaway is a family-friendly event, however we recommend bringing children over the age of five years old. We recommend attending one of our Sunday lunchtime sessions.

We don't sell drinks but you are more than welcome to bring in your own non-alcoholic beverages.
- Are there bathrooms?
Yes, there are men's and women's bathrooms at the back of the restaurant, shared with our neighbours at Grill’d. We know pizza making can get messy, so feel free to freshen up before you head off.
- Is the venue accessible?
Yes, there is step-free entry at the front of the shop, and a ramp provides access to the bathrooms.

Degraves Street is just across from Flinders Street Station, so it's easy to reach by train or tram. Because we're in the CBD, we recommend public transport over driving.
