TOUR: Italian Language Bilingual Tour of Taglietti: Life in Design

Explore the life and career of acclaimed architect, Enrico Taglietti, in an Italian language tour of Taglietti: A life in Design. Taglietti made a major contribution to architecture and design in Canberra with his idiosyncratic buildings of atmosphere and light.

Born in Milan in 1926, the architect and his wife, Franca, chose to live in Canberra after visiting in the 1950s. Unlike others who saw empty sheep paddocks, he saw the new city of Canberra brimming with potential for a creative built environment. Taglietti went on to design many domestic and public buildings in Canberra.

Join Italian teacher Gabriella Quadraccia, who will animate Taglietti’s life and work through Italian, the language of his training and birth country.
