A partnership between Metro North Health and The University of Queensland, Herston Biofabrication Institute (HBI) is the first institute of its kind, advancing knowledge and technology in 3D scanning, 3D modelling and 3D printing of medical devices, bone, cartilage and human tissue. Located on the Herston Health Precinct, HBI infrastructure includes a range of 3D printers, 3D scanning tools, virtual reality, tissue culture laboratory, patient interface area and training facilities. 

Join us for a tour of HBI during UQ Research and Innovation Week 2024! HBI is a leading institute specializing in medical and engineering research, medical device manufacturing, and infrastructure that supports clinically-applied biofabrication and regenerative medicine.
