On Monday 10 November at the Bay Pavilions we're bringing together the people and ideas shaping the future of tourism in our region, from national and state leaders to local operators driving change on the ground.
More than updates, this flagship event signals the start of a stronger, more connected industry ready to take on emerging opportunities and challenges together.
The Forum is proudly presented by Eurobodalla Shire Council and the Eurobodalla Visitor Economy Advisory Committee. It represents the first major initiative of Council’s new tourism industry engagement plan, a plan designed to supercharge collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation across our visitor economy.

Hear directly from the newly formed Eurobodalla Visitor Economy Advisory Committee as they share their vision for the region.
The VEAC is an industry-led advisory committee working in partnership with Eurobodalla Shire Council to deliver the Eurobodalla Destination Action Plan 2023–2028.
Its role is to champion sustainable visitor experiences, provide expert guidance, and ensure our visitor economy remains dynamic, resilient, and ready to seize new opportunities.

Karen Jones – Chief Executive, Destination NSW
Karen has more than 27 years of leadership experience across state and local government. She has led major agencies including the Office of Sport and now heads Destination NSW, the state’s visitor economy champion and the agency behind iconic events such as Vivid Sydney. Karen is passionate about growing world-class visitor experiences and ensuring NSW remains Australia’s leading destination.
Dominic Mehling – Industry Relations Manager, Tourism Australia
Dominic brings over 20 years of experience across tourism and hospitality, including senior roles with Westin Hotels and Resorts and Hayman Island. At Tourism Australia he acts as the link between regions, operators, and the national agency, building partnerships that strengthen the visitor economy and showcase Australia to the world.
Jonathan Kobus – Executive Branch Manager, VisitCanberra
Jonathan leads VisitCanberra, driving the ACT’s long-term tourism strategy and partnerships to grow domestic and international visitation. He is recognised for his leadership during the COVID-19 crisis, receiving the Public Service Medal. Jonathan has a strong track record in sustainable tourism and industry collaboration.
