Towards a Multi-sector Impact Alliance - Melbourne Business & Biodiversity Circle #4
Event description
We've been organically building momentum since COP15, now let's see if we can take another step together!
The fourth Melbourne Business & Biodiversity Circle will be an interactive workshop-style event. We'll be looking to bring together diverse stakeholders (who), explore a unifying shared purpose (why), define common interests (what) and prioritise collective actions (how). One of the main collective impact concepts is the possibility of a place-based nature investment platform or fund, which could accelerate and enhance the regeneration of iconic Melbourne ecosystems.
Biodiversity loss is a massive global issue, but here's a chance to make a difference in our home region. Bring your ideas for collective impact, and come and join us!
Venue Sponsor:
Intrepid Travel is generously welcoming us to their HQ in Naarm Melbourne's CBD, providing plant-based snacks and local drinks.
Hosts:
Matt Sykes, Regeneration Projects (B Corp & UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration actor)
Kerry Charles, Department of Energy, Environment & Climate Action, Victoria
Background:
Emerging as a response to the Global Biodiversity Framework, the Melbourne Business & Biodiversity Circle' is a collaborative space where professionals working at the intersection of our economy and Nature can come together to share their knowledge, visions and anxieties in a positive, aspirational space. The Circle is being incubated by Regeneration Projects, a B Corp-certified consultancy which is also an actor in the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
