Training for Carers & Parents: Expression of Interest

At Towards Better, we believe in the power of individuals and families, especially when they are provided with helpful knowledge, well-informed choice, and supported to put things into practice. Therefore, we are now taking Expressions of Interest (EOI's) for workshops in 2022 and early 2023.

Who should enquire?!

Are you a person with a disability or parent of a child, teenager, or adult with a disability? Are you someone who believes that there is a whole life out there yet to be lived, do you believe in real inclusion, do you believe that communities are better when everyone’s gifts talents, and contributions are welcomed but are not sure where to start to bring this ‘Good Life’ into action?!

Expressions of Interest are welcomed from anyone who is interested in any of the 2-3 Hour Workshop Offerings including, but not limited to:

Workshops: We will be offering new workshops over the next 6-12 months.

* There will also be time during and at the end to share, connect, and build relationships with others in the workshop.*

Individuals and families can use NDIS funding for these workshops (Self or Plan Managed).

Event details (To Be Determined):

Workshops are each 2-3+ hours long and ideally delivered in person at Co Habitat Co Working Space, South Townsville, however, more specific details will be determined as Expressions of Interest come in. We are open minded to online or blended (online and in person) formats.
Minimum Group will be 5 and Maximum Group is 15-20 depending on room size/availability.
Cost Per Workshop: $100.00+ depending on length of workshop (NDIS Funding items above can be used)

Please note: Event is not open to paid workers/staff unless they also are part of one of the above groups (eg. Family member who happens to work in a disability related job).
