Town Team Convergence 2022
Event description
The Town Team Convergence is back on Saturday 15 October 2022.
This year, the local Town Teams in the City of Melville will help us to host the activities. The Convergence will be supported by the City of Melville and RAC.
The fun will begin in the Canning Bridge precinct in Applecross, before moving to Myaree.
The Convergence celebrates, promotes and connects Town Team volunteers and local Town Teams. Find out what other Town Teams do, what they have learned and how they make it happen. Plus have lots of fun.
Everyone is welcome and tickets are free! RSVPs are essential.
We will have interactive workshops on;
– Building street furniture and parklets
– Street mural painting
– How to activate street spaces
– Tips and tricks on how to attract volunteers
– How to promote your town team
– How to get Grant funding!
We also have inspiring talks from local town teams on their recent projects and also a very special guest Pete Stone speaking about his experience creating the world’s longest 10km street stage - The AC/DC ‘Highway to Hell’ tribute and how it attracted more than 144,000 people!
Lunch, coffee & tea are provided + drinks at the after party!
We encourage you to bike, walk or train to this event. Buses will be provided between Canning Bridge, workshops and our afterparty in Myaree.
