Event description
In 1994, Variety - the Children’s Charity of WA, received a simple request to provide toys to children who had taken refuge in shelters due to domestic violence or other circumstances. The goal was to give these children something they could call their own, a small symbol of comfort and a fresh start. Chaired by the late Holly Wood, this meaningful event has become deeply embedded in Variety’s history.
We're excited to present the 2025 Toy Bank Lunch, our highly anticipated comeback event on Friday, 3 October, at The Kingsman, an exclusive open air pop up venue in the heart of the city on Riverside Drive, Perth. Join us from 12:00pm – 3:00pm for a purposeful afternoon.
What to Expect:
Upon arrival, guests can purchase a raffle ticket for our Champagne Tower for a chance to win an exciting prize.
Enjoy a three-course meal with premium beverages while listening to our MC, and special guest Sheree, a domestic violence survivor, advocate, and WA’s official Agent of Change for the 16 Days in WA campaign. Sheree will share her powerful story of resilience and rebuilding life with her children.
Exciting auction items.
After lunch, guests are welcome to relax and network outdoors while enjoying spectacular views of the Perth cityscape in a truly special venue.
More details will be revealed once we officially launch to the public.
Support the Toy Bank
We kindly ask each guest to bring along a new, unwrapped toy. All donated toys will be delivered to the Women’s Council for Domestic and Family Violence Services, then distributed to more than 30 women’s refuges across WA.
This year, we’ve partnered with Toyworld Claremont to make donating even easier. Once you’re registered, we’ll share details on how to purchase a toy through the Variety Toy Bank Registry, with direct delivery to Variety ahead of the event.
