Transform your students’ ideas into a theatre performance using learning activities informed by Slingsby Theatre Company's distinctive theatre-making style.
Slingsby's professional theatremakers, Elizabeth Hay & Georgia Stanley will share their experiences using the fundamentals of drama to create theatre. Under the guidance of these theatremakers you'll get try out their techniques through making your own short shadow play, whether you join in online or in-person.
This workshop will include:
- Techniques and activities to initiate ideas and expand them into small scenes
- Insights to thinking dramaturgically
- Methods for connecting your scenes to make a show
- How to use storytelling techniques as part of your show
- How to use light and sound to elevate your show's story
Whether you join us online or in-person you can expect an engaging hands-on experience with time to connect with your colleagues and have your questions answered by the professional teaching artists.
A certificate of professional learning will be provided. This professional learning workshop will support you in demonstrating the following AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teacher: 2.1, 3.4, 4.1, 7.4

Bookings are prioritised for teachers employed by the Department for Education and must be made with your Department for Education email address.
